Errigal Bay Seafood wanted to develop new packaging design and update their website. With the company targeting both a B2B market and B2C it was important to have clean and clear messaging that would appeal to both cohorts of customers. Being a seafood company it was important for the freshness of the product to come through both on the site and packaging.
As with all packaging design, the ability to grab the consumers attention when in the busy environment of the supermarket is paramount. With the Errigal Bay products being fresh from the sea , we wanted a consistent clean and crisp theme to flow through both the website and packaging. Errigal Bay itself has a great story behind it spanning over several decades, which we wanted to bring into the forefront.
With the history and the story of Errigal Bay being so strong, we wanted to tell the stories of the fishermen and pay tribute to the product and area it is from. With a contemporary packaging design that plays up the freshness and naturalness of the seafood, this was transferred across various touch points, such as web and product catalogue. With many products available from the Errigal Bay website, the navigation needed to be easily used for both B2B and B2C customers of the brand. Utilising the great imagery from the company archive pays great tribute to their history and the people and area that make it.
