Beyond Automation:
Our Human Touch in the Age of AI 

 

Without making a laundry list of pros and cons, there is no doubt that there are both potential rewards and limitations to the use of AI in our industry, and any industry. Like any tool, AI is only as good as the hand it is in.

This era of rapid change is a challenge, but also an opportunity for us to demonstrate our real value as an agency, and we are confident we do this, with an integrative approach. AI is effectively raising the bar across the board in brand building, design and digital activation, but we must also note that it will lower the barrier for entry into our industry, and the creative industry as a whole. That being said, it’s worth noting that although AI seems to carry a project 90% of the way, but that remaining 10% often takes 90% of the work.

This pushes us to continue sharpening the lens of our discerning eye, as truly resonant brands convey a message, achieved only from human to human. We feel it’s worth noting the biases that can come about with the continually evolving algorithms used across AI softwares. It is our responsibility to prompt against bias and to be cognisant of the ethical implications. It is paramount we do not forget this in the midst of the now accelerated creation process. Our agency across Strategy, Design and Digital has been utilising AI tools. AI is establishing a new base line for creative services in the same way the computer moved design from analogue to digital. We’ve been adopting AI and our ways of working are changing. As our grasp of the technology improves, so does our output. We see this continuing in the years to come.
